Answer
I have only seen them at a trade show and my opinion was that you should save your money and spend your time getting proficient with a standard sight. This is only my opinion, so you may also try asking this question on the Bowsite.com forums as some people may really like them. I personally did not.

Question Does anyone know any information about Intensity and Discovery compound bows. These bows do not have wheels I think they may be manufactured by Oneida. Naturally they claim they are a very neet bow. The price is reasonable. I would really like someone"s honest opinion about them. Thank You

Answer
I have never been a fan of Oneida bows but that does not mean they are bad bows or you won't like them. My suggestion is to ask this question on the forums for more opinions, or find one and shoot it.

Question I purchased a new Mathews Outback earlier this year and have been having enormous difficulty getting broadheads to fly straight. I am at approx. 66lb draw weight, 28" draw length and am shooting 27.25" (TAL) Gold Tip XT 5575 Carbon arrows. The arrows have 4" plastic helical vanes. I shoot a caliper realease with a Trap Door arrow rest. I recently measured my FOC with broadheads and it is at 11% (a little off). Even after using my bow square and center shot tools to align my arrow correctly I find that I have to radically adjust my rest in order to get "bullet holes" when I am shooting a bare shaft when paper tuning. Afer getting "bullet holes" I put my broadheads on and they are still flying erratically. I have even tried a few different manuf., i.e., Montec one-piece and Thunder Heads (both 100 grain). I am at wits end - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Paul, I have two suggestions. First, go to your local pro shop and discuss this with them. If they are a Mathews dealer then they will likely be able to help you. Secondly, you might try adjusting for spine, either with your rest or with a different weight broadhead, or arrow. Good luck.

Question My bow is consistently shooting broadheads 4 inches high and right of field points. Why?

- Rob 11/30/2004, ID=2382

Answer
Sounds like a spine issue. Despite what some people may tell you, a 125 grain broadhead will shoot differently from a 125 grain field point. If you have paper-tuned your arrows with broadheads, then simply adjust your sights to accomodate the deviation from the field points.

Question My arrow has been kicking out to the right about half way to the target and then straightening back out. What could be the cause of this? I paper tuned and am getting good bullet holes at about 10ft. I got a 31 - josh 08/22/2004, ID=2367
Answer
When you shoot through paper do you only shoot at 10 ft.? Or, does it take the arrow that long to tear a bullet hole? If you only shoot at ten foot, then you might be seeing is the arrow in the middle of a 'correction.' What I mean is, the arrow is coming off the bow poorly, beginning to correct itself (tail swinging in), hitting the paper, and then the tail swings out again as part of it's correction (and this is where you're seeing it) before it finally settles in the whole way. So, I'd shoot through paper at a couple of different distances (3 feet, 6 feet) to see what the arrow is doing earlier on.

If it takes ten feet for the arrow to correct, then you could do a little better tuning....and that might include changing shaft stiffness. But, one thought occurs to me here....and that with your long draw..and, I'm assuming a 30" arrow, I wonder what your Front-of-Center [FOC] balance point is? With 4" vanes and a 100 grain point on these arrows your balance point may be too far back....and that can easily make your arrows 'way' more than they should even when the bow is tuned. Aim for an FOC of 6-10% for target points, and 10-15% for broadheads. Good hunting!
