Interactive Bloodtrail Competition 1

An actual, recent, Bloodtrail
 Clue 3

This bloodtrail is 100% real. All the pictures, stories and video are exactly as it happened on the Pennsylvania season opener on Saturday, 10/2/99. We are going to step you through this extremely difficult trail to see what decisions you would have made. Good Luck!

Here is the current diagram of where you are right now.

The last blood direction you found gave you the clues you needed to track the deer another 30 yards. That was great. But now you are once again unable to locate any more blood. To make matters worse, the deer is hardly bleeding and obviously leaving the open forest area for a maze of tangled briars and brush (which is so thick you can't see 3 yards in any given direction). Let's take a look at what is up ahead:

Up to now, you have focused on blood, and kicked up ground - straight down on the forest floor. Now that the deer has entered the thickets, which of the below 3 types of sign is where you should pay MOST OF YOUR ATTENTION?

1. - Straight down, blood on leaves and other items on the forest floor.

2. On vegetation, at the approximate height of the deer's wound?

3. On newly broken or disrupted vegetation assuming that you are continuing forward into virgin (untrampled) underbrush?
